K-Praxis has argued in many previous articles about the requirement for new type of actionable intelligence based solutions - solutions that from the information processing and exploitation point view are able to provide a "real" 360-degree view of an organization's information. This week Verint - provider of analytic and business intelligence software has launched some interesting solutions - trying to move an inch closer to the 360-degree information intelligence.
Themes that came across from K-Praxis's analysis of the 9/11 report ( 9/11 Report: Actionable Information Management and Textual Analytics); from its survey of the business intelligence product and solutions providers ( Business Intelligence: An Information Management Perspective ) ; and, its analysis of the recent trends toward integrating structured, unstructured and semi-structured data through Enterprise Information Integration or EII (Enterprise Information Integration and Unstructured and Semi-Structured Data Management Trends) clearly suggest that Verint-type of solutions are going to go down well in the markets that are coming out of the reversionary slumber - where businesses as well as public sector organizations are beginning to try out new technologies again!
Verint is unique in a sense that it brings the unstructured information captured through video monitoring into the sphere of actionable information. Its digital video security solutions can help organizations in creating structured actionable information through advanced video content analytics. On the other hand its contact center solutions, provide intelligent recording and mining capabilities that can extract actionable intelligence from contact center interactions and deliver them directly to key decision makers throughout the enterprise.
Given this backdrop and the more favorable economic climate companies could do well cashing in on the buzz that is around. It will be interesting to watch how these solutions fare in real market.
