After acquiring two major companies from two very lucrative market segments (Legal Discovery and Public Records), LexisNexis is trying to consolidate its offerings.
This consolidation for LexisNexis comes in way of a new platform code-named Rosetta, that allows LexisNexis to cross-sell its services across geographical and market-segment divides. A press release put out by LexisNexis (LexisNexis to Adopt Single Worldwide Technology Platform) says:
"The new platform will unify the company’s comprehensive, 35,000-plus sources of analytical and primary legal information, news, business data and public records. The platform will be customizable to the specific information needs and language of a country, a jurisdiction or professional market. In addition, the system will support LNG’s ongoing efforts to enable integration of LexisNexis information and features with internal customer portals and Knowledge Management systems."
LexisNexis also reported to have been trying to offer search and other services for their enterprise customer through this platform. Again let us wait and watch!
